Bronze is no stranger to Bell & Ross dive watches. Between 2018 and the early 2020s, the BR-03-92 Diver line featured various bronze models with black, brown, red, green, or white dials—each emphasizing warm tones and rich color palettes. These earlier versions often paired bronze bezels with the case or utilized materials that matched the dial color. Yet, the most intuitive and arguably most harmonious pairing—a black dial combined with a black bezel—had never been realized. Bell & Ross now fills this gap with the new BR-03 Diver Black Bronze, applying this understated, near-classic aesthetic to the latest generation of its BR-03 Diver collection. The case of the new BR-03 Diver is crafted from CuSn8 bronze (92% copper, 8% tin)—a marine-grade alloy frequently used in nautical equipment and underwater exploration—measuring 42 mm x 42 mm with a thickness of 12.3 mm. The case features a predominantly satin-brushed finish, accented by polished surfaces that provide contrast and highlight the material’s natural, evolving patina. The unidirectional rotating bezel is also made of bronze and is fitted with a polished black ceramic insert featuring a 60-minute scale. The markings on the bezel are filled with Super-LumiNova X1, ensuring excellent legibility of dive times underwater. The BR-03 Diver Black Bronze fully complies with the ISO 6425 standard and is water-resistant to 300 meters. Its construction features a screw-down crown with protective guards, a solid steel screw-down case back, and a thick sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating.

The dial design is clean and elegant. A glossy black lacquered dial creates a striking contrast with the warm-toned bronze case. The applied "diver-style" hour markers, along with the skeletonized hour and minute hands, are coated with white Super-LumiNova X1—which emits a green glow in low-light conditions—ensuring excellent legibility. The date display is positioned between 4 and 5 o'clock, consistent with other models in the BR-03 Diver collection.

The watch is powered by the BR-CAL.302-1 automatic movement, which is based on the Sellita SW300-1 (an alternative to the ETA 2892). It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a 54-hour power reserve.

The BR-03 Diver Black Bronze comes with a black rubber diving strap and an additional ultra-resilient black synthetic canvas strap for everyday wear.
